Jakarta Provincial Government is about to build a drive thru counter in the Cilincing Motor Vehicle Test (PKB). It is planned to be realized in the upcoming September.

It is also to hinder broker practice, and direct interaction between driver and officer. I think it can already be activated in the upcoming November

Head of Cilincing Motor Vehicle Management Unit (UPPKB), Mirza Aryadi disclosed, there will be one drive thru enter counter for medium-sized bus with JBB (the allowed permissible weight) under eight tons and two exit counters for medium- and big-sized truck.

"While awaiting recommendation from Housing and Government Buildign Sub-dept, we prepare traffic engineering that will conduct feasible test," he expressed, Monday (8/22).

Technically, Mirza explains, the vehicle that will be tested should enter into drive thru counter for registration in which its payment via Bank DKI. After that, vehicle enters into visual I identification lane for dimensional inspection, frame number, and the number of test.

"Afterwards, vehicle goes into mechanical lane for examination using test equipment. Lastly, all the visual II identification for low part of vehicle examination such as suspension, exhaust system, brake system, steering system," he added.

According to him, such project is an improvement of service. Because the driver can immediately bring the vehicle to be tested and instantly get the results without down from their vehicles.
